Often our way of life is to blame: stress at home or in the workplace, too much alcohol at night, not enough sleep during the week, too much sleep at the weekend,.... there are many more possible triggers. A mild headache once in a while is seldom a sign of serious problems.

Reducing  stress, having a balanced diet and taking gentle exercise, such as walking outdoors in the fresh air can help.

If your headaches are sudden, severe or associated with nausea or a temperature, or if you experience a mild headache that lasts over a week, you should seek medical advice.
