A combined approach.
Neuropsychology
Neuropsychology studies how changes in brain function and structure (owing to illness, injury and diseases of the brain and nervous system), can affect personality, memory, speech, orientation etc.
Changes may also occur as a result of genetic influences, chemical imbalances, tumours or strokes.
Neuropsychological examinations can often detect diseases, including Alzheimer’s, in their early stages when other investigations such as CT scans and MRIs would still return normal results.
Our team of Neuropsychologists are interested in:
- Which functions are affected and the way in which they have changed.
- Performing psychological tests in order to identify a link between the patient’s symptoms and specific areas and functions of the brain. This helps to diagnose diseases such as Alzheimer’s, dyslexia, speech disorders etc.
The team at NeuroLoulé are focused on exploring every aspect of your condition in order to diagnose and treat at the earliest opportunity, for the best possible outcome.
